Denstone Village Hall

The Village Hall is a registered charity. It is run by a Management Committee composed of representatives nominated by village organisations, four elected members and up to four co-opted members.

Pubs & Restaurants

There isn’t a fast food chain for miles. To satisfy your hunger and thirst in Denstone, you can choose between The Tavern in the centre of the village and the Denstone Hall cafe in the Farm Shop, both of which are deservedly very popular with locals and visitors alike.

The Tavern

Rocester has a fish and chip shop and an Indian restaurant, while if you want something more luxurious, the nearby village of Ellastone has The Duncombe Arms pub/restaurant.

Accommodation

There are several places to stay in and around Denstone from small B&Bs to larger self catering establishments.

In nearby Ellastone, The Duncombe Arms offers a choice of rooms and self-catering accommodation.

Petrol Stations & Garages

There is no petrol station in Denstone itself, but if you have car trouble or need petrol urgently there is a garage in nearby Rocester – it’s not open late or on Sundays, though. A little further away, there are several petrol stations in Ashbourne and Uttoxeter, each just a few miles away in opposite directions. There are also tyre and car repair garages in Cheadle, Ashbourne and Uttoxeter.

Children’s Play Area

There’s a play area for small children in the centre of the village not far from the Tavern Pub.

Public Toilet

There is a toilet available for public use (maintained by the Parish Council) at the left hand side of the Village Hall (opposite The Tavern). It’s not signed. There are also toilets available for customers at The Tavern and at Denstone Hall Farm Shop.

Community Transport – Denstone Voluntary Car Scheme

Launched in April 2006, the Community Transport service is proving to be a valuable facility available to all Denstone residents. The main purpose of the scheme is to provide a door to door service for those who are without access to a private car, when suitable public transport is not available, or cannot be used due to infirmity, age or disability.

We can help you if you cannot drive or use public transport. We will collect, transport and return you so you can attend appointments, etc., between 8am — 6pm on weekdays.
