National & Staffordshire Situation: Covid-19
- Nationally there have now been 15,066,395 confirmed cases if Covid-19 reported, a rate per 100,000 people of 22,459.90.
- 99,652 new people had a confirmed positive test result reported on 14 January 2022.
- Between 8 January 2022 and 14 January 2022, 889,279 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows a decrease of -29.5% compared to the previous 7 days.
- The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Staffordshire as at 1600hrs 14 January 2022 was 203,805, a rate per 100,000 people of 23,076.50.
- The 7-day rate of Covid-19 cases across Staffordshire as of 10 January 2022 was 1,615.30 per 100,000 people
- This is above the regional rate of 1,571.50 and the England rate of 1,468.40 cases per 100,000 people.

Changes to Covid-19 Self Isolation Arrangements in England
- DHSC – Self-isolation for those with COVID-19 can end after 5 full days following 2 negative LFD tests – GOV.UK From Monday 17 January, people with COVID-19 in England can end their self-isolation after 5 full days, as long as they test negative on day 5 and day 6.

Our local NHS partners are currently working to add more clinics to deliver more vaccines and boosters to our residents.

- People can also check local availability and book an appointment on the NHS national book system or by contacting 119.
Conmmunity Testing
People with symptoms
People should book an appointment at one of the national testing sites only. This can be done at www.nhs.uk/coronavirus or by phoning 119. They should not attend community testing centres to take a lateral flow test.
